How to Reach Kasol

The nearest metro to Kasol is Delhi & majority of travellers comes from here. Following are the ways to reach Kasol by various means of transport.

Reach Kasol By Air-

Option 1- Bhuntar Airport, Kullu is just 31 KMs from Kasol. This airport has direct connectivity with only 2 cities- Delhi and Chandigarh. Being at high altitude, this airport closes multiple times in a year. So, not a very good way for reliability.

Option 2– Chandigarh/Delhi- You can fly down to any of the airports & take buses and taxi to Kasol.

Reach Kasol by Road-

Road is the best way to reach Kasol. There are buses plying from Delhi, Chandigarh, Shimla. Most of these buses go to Manali and not take you to Kasol.

Buses will drop you to Bhuntar which is 31 KMs from Kasol. From Bhuntar, you can take local transport (costs INR 50- INR 100) or a local taxi which costs in the range of INR 700 to INR 1000.

Bus timing & Stops from Delhi for Kasol- From Delhi take buses til Bhuntar from ISBT bus stand. Best way is to take evening buses from delhi to Kasol/bhuntar which will drop you in morning as it take 12-13 hours from Delhi.

Note- Buses plying are offered by State transport of Delhi, Himachal, Haryana and Private operators which no one now provides sleeper buses from Delhi to Kasol due to govt regulation.

Reach Kasol by Train-

Nearest Railway station to Kasol is Pathankot which is 150 KMs away. There are multiple trains like Jhelum Express, Swaraj Express from Delhi to Pathankot. Take a local taxi from Pathankot to Kasol.
